Obsessed: A Memoir of My Life with OCD
by Allison Britz
dark
emotional
reflective
medium-paced
This was a solid memoir. I would say this is less of a “life story” and more of a long form personal essay about the onset of her OCD, diagnosis, and beginning of healing. It offered a look inside the head of someone with OCD with no holds barred. There are many different types of OCD, but the constant, never ending thoughts that *something bad is going to happen* is pretty consistent among patients. If you or a loved one may be struggling with OCD, this memoir could potentially help you understand your brain a bit better.
