Sisters Under the Rising Sun by Heather Morris

2⭐️The story could have been interesting, but the writing felt choppy and rushed. The sentences were cut short and storylines ended abruptly and unfinished. There is no flow in the text, the story is incoherent. We don’t really get to know any character, no one stands out and I didn’t care about anyone, even with the book’s primere premise being female war prisoners to the Japanese army. That’s a shame. Like, I finished this book today and I don’t remember any significant character as I am writing this a few hours later.
The dialouges were poorly executed and not realistic at all. The same goes for the relationships. I am supposed to belive over 200 women sing songs and ”come together” and talk the way the book presents it during dire circumstances, where death looms upon them and death threats are a daily courtesy?
