Hockey romance with big tough softies. Sign me up!
Victoria and Raffi meet by chance and are immediately drawn to each other. After a wonderful day and night spent together Raffi heads out to document their story with a tattoo. And then hit up his hockey game.
One head injury later he wakes up in the hospital confused about his tattoo and missing a couple days of his life.
Victoria thinks she’s been ghosted and finds out that he left her with more than just memories. She’s pregnant.
Fast forward three years and they run into each other again. And she’s furious because he’s acting like he has no idea who she it. And he doesn’t have any idea as to why she looks like she wants to murder him. But he’s inexplicably drawn to her.
This book hits you in the feels. The hardships they’ve both faced. The weight they place on their own shoulders. Finding a way to navigate past the hurt and build a future together. The hockey team family is so solid. And book club is amazing. Hearing grown men talk so openly about their feelings and struggles. Being there to support their teammates and their relationships.
It’s a wonderful story. And don’t forget some very well written spicy scenes too.
I enjoyed this story. I look forward to continuing to read the Cedar Rapids Raccoons Hockey series.
