Really interesting rereading this book (and the rest of the trilogy) so much older than I was when I last read it in middle school. I have much more nuanced opinions of characters and their actions than when I was 12 and didn’t really know the extent of oppression and violence enacted upon people in the world now and throughout history. Very glad to have reread!
