This was a great read and I really, really enjoyed it! I loved the creepiness and the suspense; the not really having any solid clues as to who the killer could be that keeps you guessing and changing your mind as the story progresses, wondering whether it's someone you've encountered yet or is a new character altogether. Derting's writing seriously sucked me in and I just couldn't get enough of the book, I couldn't put it down!
I really liked the characters - although, at times, I found Violet to be a little self-centered and it grated on my nerves a bit, as well as Jay sometimes being overly cocky. I did really like the relationship dynamics between the two of them, and I thought that their friendship and Violet's growing crush was very realistic and relatable. However,~is that really a spoiler though? because we totez all saw that coming~, I felt it was kind of OTT.
It's safe to say I'll definitely be picking up the sequels :3
