The last 25% of the book pushes this book to a 5. An ending can make or break a book, and this one had an excellent ending. Don’t plan on stopping during the last 200 pages.
I started this book knowing nothing. Some parts were slow, but I liked the story. The only way I can summarize the book without spoilers is to say this an fantasy book about relationships. Various magical beings with thousands of years of their own history and folklore live together in a citymostlynot really peacefully.
