Onyx Storm (Empyrean Book 3)
Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐♾

“I am yours and you are mine, and there’s no law or rule in this world or the next that will change that.”

“I choose you. I choose whatever risk this brings. I see every part of you, Xaden: The good. The bad. The unforgivable. That’s what you promised, and that’s what I want—all of you. I can handle myself, even against you if I have to.”

I know there are a wide range of thoughts on this book, but my oh my, in my opinion this book was PERFECTION!!! It set the stage for the last two books with so many tiny details, easter eggs, and more in depth world building.

Violet was a total baddie! She really came into her own in this book and took charge. I absolutely cannot wait to see her character continue to develop in future books. Xaden... WOOF 🥵. He just keeps getting better and better every book, and I AM HERE FOR IT! The things he said had me melting. After the end of Iron Flame, I was so worried that these two would take a step backwards, but NO! Their relationship, emotional connection, and development in this book was so 🤌❤.

Side characters... I mean come on! Ridoc is obviously my fav. His banter and antics were my favorite, but I also loved his character development and insight into his more serious and protective side. His and Violet's friendship was beautiful and its growth will be fun to watch over the next two books.

As usual, Tairn and Andarna had me laughing with their banter, and they were some of my favorite parts of this book. Andarna also may have made me shed a tear at one point 🥺.

Also... I hope we get more broccoli!

Rebecca Yarros what have you done to us! I just can't stop thinking about this book.

“I’m jealous of the armor that holds you when I can’t, the sheets on your bed that caress your skin every night, and the blades that feel your hands.
