One of the better books I’ve read of the genre as I felt there was individuality given to each of the MMCs and the FMC has a fairly strong characterisation which is great. Fairly dark beginning for the FMC but nice to see her grow to trust the others and her personality to come out more in the end. A fair bit of insta love which isn’t my favourite but at least there is a slow burn with some of them. I like the setting and the general world and the spice level was good in this first book.
