Escape Room by Christopher Edge

2.0

I wish I'd liked this more because the overall concept of the escape rooms could be amazing.
I found myself underwhelmed with the characters throughout. Lots of arguing, not a logical approach, which doesn't make sense since they'd all signed up for an escape room experience.
The ending felt remarkably preachy for a book aimed at readers who are probably very aware of the climate change issue but who, being so young, are mostly without deciding making powers.
That being said, I'm not 10 so I'm not who the book is aimed. I'll put it in my class library and have no doubt that it'll fly from one pupil to another once word gets out.

Update.
The book has now been read by 5 children in my class. 2 absolutely loved it and the other 3 said it was OK and all would recommend it to friends.
