Out of all the books in this series, this is the one I was most hesitant about - and that is entirely because of the characters involved. I wasn’t sure how the relationship of Achilles and Petracles would be portrayed, and I didn’t know if my heart could take them being enemies. I shouldn’t have been worried though, Katee Robert creates a modern relationship dynamic that is not only plausible, but feels accurate to some of the components of the base myth. As we learn more about these characters we also learn more about the danger that appears to encroach on Olympus - all of which is heightened by the competition and burgeoning relationship of our trio - Helen, Achilles, and Petracles.  4/5
