I had high hopes this one and while it wasn't bad it wasn't great either.
Unlike many others, I personally was able to look past the Rhys and TikTok mentions but I do think it is really going to date the book in the future and does not give the story longevity.
The beginning of the book was so good to me and then the middle got sooooooo draggy... Like it was just the same thing over and over. It was just Sam and Xavier constantly saying how that long distance is hard, how they don't know if they can do this, etc. As someone who has don't long distance trust me I get it that it super hard at times but after 30 chapters of saying the same thing every 5 seconds I was done with it.
But then it picked up again in the last few chapters. So it's a give and take I guess 🤷♀️ I'm pretty sure the only reason I got through it so quick was cause it was audio.
