I enjoyed the unique narration style and the concept a lot. The pacing of plot felt a little unbalanced and dragging in moments where it should not have been and rushing over others. Compared to Alexis Hall’s other period pieces, I felt as if the worldbuilding here was lacking and relied on implied prior knowledge of this world a lot more.
