❣️”You’re mine. Do you understand me?”
“Yes.”
“Say it.”
“Yours. Only Yours.”
“F ing mine.”
❣️”I protect what’s mine. I protect what I love, and godd*mmit, I’m so in love with you, I ache with it.”
Sometimes you just need a billionaire to swoop you off your feet. Billie seems to agree and she’s the most knowledgeable person with being a romance bookstore owner and running the best book club in town.
This book was everything I was hoping it would be. And in many ways, it was also so much more. I’ve been obsessed with Billie and Connor since these two acted awfully suspicious 😏 in Book 2. And I was right; they were top bookish couple. More than that, they would’ve totally worked out in real life. I can see them IRL so clearly, it’s not even funny.
I loved Connor’s journey so much. But above all, I love how Kristen Proby showed us that even the strongest woman can have moments of vulnerability. That doesn’t make her weak. It makes her human. And Billie was so perfect in all she was. Even in her most vulnerable moments. I loved Connor for her, and I loved both of them for us (in a non-Alex way 😜)
That epilogue got me SO EXCITED for book 4. 😍
