Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano

- Plot- or character-driven? Plot
3.0
It is always weird to me when characters are both incredibly intelligent and so so oblivious at the same time. In one breath Finlay is like solving an entire crime by flitting through her memories of inconsequential stickers on a random dude’s car, the next she is blindsided by a Russian dude. I still thought this was fun to listen to, but I feel like there were so many plot holes and convenient discoveries. And I just always dislike cop romances/family members, so that brought me out of it, too. I’ll probably still read the 2nd book because it’s an entertaining premise, just not exactly perfect for me.
Graphic: Death and Murder
Moderate: Injury/Injury detail
