The Essence of Malice by Ashley Weaver
3.0
This was an enjoyable continuation to the Amory series. I feel like we might be getting closer to understanding why Milo acts the way he does... not a cozy mystery but definitely not a thriller. Maybe the best description is a gentle female investigator.
Amory and Milo stop through Paris on their way home from an Italian getaway to check in on Milos childhood Nanny who is concerned about her current boss’ mysterious death. A dysfunctional family with a perfumery fortune with many possible murderers... Amory flits around Paris trying to solve the mystery. Once again she suspects her husband isn’t being faithful, but once again it’s all part of his investigation plan... a repetitive story but enjoyable enough to keep going.
