Breasts and Eggs by Mieko Kawakami

4.0

Trust the japanese to discuss in eyebrow raising depth balanced with fact about the female anatomy, and creating page-turning novels out of them.

Initially published as two separate books, i am always impressed with how brilliantly the japanese novels are translated, still keeping the mood, the emotional turmoil, and most importantly, the bizarreness that is uniquely Japanese in each translation.

I wanted to read this page after page unfortunately life kept getting in the way.

This was as murakami rightly said breathtaking, however, i would add on and say it was bizarrely intoxicating.
