This was a really interesting premise and I think it was executed very well. Klara’s experience among humans and her exploration of human nature were moving and complex and so enjoyable but there are certain aspects of this book which remain unclear. I guess that makes sense considering the fact Klara’s POV limits us to what she’s able to deduce from her time with Josie but I wish there would have been more about the concept of “lifted” kids and the resistance people have towards artificial friends and advanced technology.
