In reading this, I hoped to gain 1) a better understanding of Hindu theology and 2) a better grasp of context for face-to-face conversation. I'm glad I read this because I gained both. As expected, this firsthand approach is improving my apologetic.

As with most religious texts, once completed, I realized I had more questions than when I started. Most confusing to me was the interchangeable misuse of the words "eternal" and "infinite" (possibly due to translation from Sanskrit) to describe Brahman while also assigning characteristics that had already been noted for temporality. Another point that left me wondering is what the purpose is for the conscious life cycle (and the reincarnation cycle) if the soul is eternal and already "one with Brahman" but upon the beginning of either life cycle the subject must recapture oneness with aid of constructs. --A couple thoughts I'll keep in mind as I study further.
