Strong Poison
by Dorothy L. Sayers
Based on a recommendation from Miranda Mills book channel, I got this for a long flight home. It did not disappoint. I’m honestly a bit surprised I’ve been liking these “detective” books, having just finished a deep dive into Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple. Here Dorothy Sayers uses a very different character: Lord Peter Wimsey. He’s as whimsical as his name implies and full of quotes form the classics like Dante! This books is where he meets the woman he wants to marry in some strange circumstances. It kept me going as the hours on the plane ticked by. I’ll be reading more!
