The character reactions are not believable as actual people. The concept of the plot is good but Wolff keeps throwing plot twist after plot twist in order to keep the reader engaged without making sure the characters have time to come to grips with her latest “twist”. Also most of her twists are predictable. There’s tons of foreshadowing throughout the novel. It’s an entertaining read but overall, I would not put this novel in a top ten list. I will probably read the rest of the series, just because I can’t leave things unfinished, but I honestly don’t see the hype with this series.
