WHERE IS MY PAPERBAG!?!!
I've said it before, but I'll say it again: THESE FUCKING BOOKS!
I think I've found some new favorites.
Je-he-he-he-sus!
I just really need it to be 2012 now, so I can read the next one.
And now for something a lot more relevant:
To me, it's rare that a book-series keep on getting better and better, as you make your way through the various amount of books, but.. Not when you read the Gone-series. Every book has its own finished plot-line, while still keeping you hooked and on the edge of your seat, and awaiting the next book (in my case, not so...) patiently.
Each book crawls under your skin (sort of like the creepy bugs in Plague, except... Not as disgusting or, well, deadly) and leave a permanent mark.
I've even begun thinking differently! Whenever I go shopping, I can't help but think "If I was in the FAYZ, I would've done..." bla, bla, bla! It's ridiculous.
I seriously can't stress this enough, these books are fantastic. They're thrilling, scary, funny, sad, beautiful, amazing, awesome, realistically creepy and magical. And Michael Grant has managed writing a fantasy-novel where you actually find yourself thinking: This could happen! Even when giant bugs burst through the bodies of a bunch of kids, locked in a giant egg-shaped "something" and fighting for their lives, using the supernatural powers they suddenly gained, you still find yourself thinking: THIS IS HOW IT WOULD HAPPEN!
Thank you, Michael Grant. Thank you!
