Of Blood and Fire by Ryan Cahill
5.0

This story is gripping. The characters draw you in and leave you endeared to them and the world building- I haven't seen the likes of since LOTR. I really enjoyed this book and i'll happily read the entire series. I downloaded the prequel at the end which was graciously included for free, and i'll download the sequel to this one as soon as i'm able to. Bravo, Mr. Cahill. I'll review on amazon as well after reading your lovely note at the end. Mr. Cahill is as talented as he is gracious to his readers, and humble to boot. I am a new lifelong fan of the Bound and Broken series. Although it was long, it certainly did not feel that way. The action scenes were not boring or drawn out, not so much detail that it drowned out the storyline and made you want to give up on it. Each scene of drama or action or sadness, all of it felt perfectly weighted and balanced in this massive story. It is absolutely worthy or a movie or series. 5 STARS. It would not have taken me so long to read this, had I not had to divide my attention against a demanding toddler whilst trying to consume it. The fact that I even finished it this quickly is a testament to Mr. Cahill's immense talent. I highly recommend picking up a copy of this entire series to add to your library, and I have only just finished the first book. Respectfully, anyone who thinks otherwise is mistaken.
