I began reading this book because I have a trip to Portugal coming up. But I think I fell in love with this author!  He writes about grief and love so tenderly and profoundly. I trudged through the first part of the book until an accident with a small boy, and I was captivated from there.  Parts 2 and 3 were especially lovely. I’m so glad I found this book and I look forward to reading his others!
