Divine Secrets of the YA-YA Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells

4.0

I still can’t decide if the content of the book is good and it seems as if that’s a common response. If you are able to practice forgiveness for the characters and the damage they inflict on others as a result of their trauma you may like the book more. The author did a good job at creating a world of which I have never been a part of (rural southern USA) and managing to draw me into that world and feel as if I was living amongst the characters better than any other book has done in a long time. Sometimes the descriptive language felt a bit too flowery but I found it better just to relax and let the storyline go without to much thinking for it to be the most enjoyable reading experience.
