A very cute romance with a mashup of tropes: friends to lovers celebrity fake dating (and also the single mom trope). This was a fun story to listen to and I liked all of the (actually relatable) pop culture references. It’s a great book for Taylor Swift fans and Gilmore Girls fans who want something really cute and sweet to pass the time. There is also no spice, so it’s perfect for people who want a cleaner romance.
I liked the main couple’s interactions, but I wish there was a bit more steam throughout their fake dating. I appreciated the lack of spice, but I did wish there was a bit more heat, especially with all the built-up angst of them being secretly in love with each other for years. Other than that, this book was a fun deviation from my TBR and I think it was worth picking up.
