after coming off of the rather large ‘the outsider’, it took me a few days to transition to the author’s flow. this was recommended to me by a co worker and then randomly from a video review i found on social media. i decided to give it a go, and after becoming more comfortable with the writing, i did not put this book down. i read the last half of it in a single night, with a lack of regard for how it would affect me at work the following day. this book fulfills every sci-if desire and fantasy i have been wanting to find in reading for as long as i can remember. an incredible plot with great characters and thorough ties to our status quo. the emotions i felt from this book are why i love reading, and that is why i try and recommend ‘red rising’ to anyone who is trying to get into sci-fi.
