The X-Men comics were created just so Whedon could eventually get his hands on them and write Astonishing X-Men. No one writes a group of outcasts set on doing the right thing better than him.
So many great topics and plot points are touched in this books that it’s impossible to pick just one aspect of it and point to it as the defining moment of it… Pretty much the entire book is one big revelation and a must-read for fans of the mutant heroes.
