Fallon's fiancé was killed in a car accident. The other driver, Jeb, had a medical emergency behind the wheel and blames himself for the death. Once a social paramedic and now completely consumed by guilt, Jeb has completely withdrawn from the world, while Fallon is just trying to move forward the best she can. Jeb finds himself on Fallon's doorstop, cries profusely and pukes all over her flowerbed; Fallon hugs him. And thus starts their friendship.

"If You're Ready" is a moving story of two people finding love after unimaginable tragedy. The plot is unique and most of the characters are likable. Their relationship progressed naturally and never felt forced. And I really appreciated their mature, clear communication (no misunderstandings or third-act breakup here, phew). You just want to give everyone a hug.

Congratulations to Estie Enders on her first novel! Can't wait to read what she puts out next.

Thank you to Grey's Promotions for the ARC!
