I wanted to like this more than I was able. three favourite subjects - surrealism, paris and post WWII milieu - by one of my favourite writers. but it needed more coherence and less melodrama. actually 2.5, but did not feel like a 2.

Would have been better if the Notes had been included on each page and even better if the images were there too, or urls? would have made it to 3.5 for me
