Good as Gone by Amy Gentry

I‰ЫЄm conflicted about this book. I finished it fairly quickly, but I don‰ЫЄt necessarily think it was well written. The plot was just enough to keep me interested and then just didn‰ЫЄt follow through. I think this would‰ЫЄve been WAY more interesting if Julie had actually been an imposter, but I understand where the changing identities played in. Alexander‰ЫЄs character just sort of got left out (obviously he wasn‰ЫЄt really a main character, but I think he could have played more of a role) and Jane‰ЫЄs character also seemed neglected, as did her part in the family I suppose. The POV with 1st and 3rd person set me off from the very beginning. Jane‰ЫЄs recap of the night Julie went missing in the 3rd person and then Anna‰ЫЄs one sentence intro in 1st person at the very first chapter floored me. With all of the jumbling character identities of Julie/Gretchen/Esther/Start etc, it was hard to connect with her- possibly intentionally, but with Anna as well.
I just think this had so much potential and fell incredibly short.
