There are two reasons why this took me SO LONG to finish: (1) I have gotten so busy at school that squeezing in my reading time wasn't an option; and (2) I DON'T LIKE ITðŸ˜
I mean, the writing is top-notched and the characters are funny don't get me wrong, but this book failed to make me INVESTED or INTERESTED in its story—in what it had to offer. I only added this to my TBR because of booktok (i hate y'all, y'all failed me fr) and read it because I couldn't choose anything else at the time.
I only finished this because I wanted to FINISH IT. I was actually considering dropping it earlier but decided against it because I'm past halfway into the story and the pages I have read will just be wasted if I did. Reading this was a hella of a CHORE, im telling you.
When I started this, I was a BIT interested. It hooked me a LITTLE bit (very). In midway I got bored but read a lot of chapters so that I'd be close to finishing it. But there were days where I didn't even pick it up (the reasons are the ones above). And now, JUST now, I read the rest from chapter 30 to 45. And felt absolutely RELIEVED that I'm done with it.
This book ain't my taste, and I'm not interested in reading the sequel. I don't hate this but i also don't like it. All I felt was ennui reading this.
