Les Vacances by Comtesse de Ségur
3.0
As my first french book it was a good way to ease into how French books are written. Story wise, it is a children's book, some parts were interesting, some others extremely corny, very religious (if that's your thing, it's fine) but personally describing every good and bad thing that happened in the book as an act of God is farfetched, since clearly it was cause and effect, but then again to each it's own. I took this book as a language learning experience so the story was not as important. The language was easy to understand and sentences were not too difficult or intricate.
