Wonderful young adult fiction book. I really enjoyed this story. I read it as a pallet cleanser between more intense books, and it did not disappoint. While the writing style is definitely geared towards a younger audience the storyline itself is refreshingly deep. I loved reading about the relationship amongst all the characters. The fact that it takes place on Alcatraz, although fascinating, is really secondary to the story. It is a story truly about relationships and how love can make a difference. Loved this book, and will be recommending it!
