Rivalry by Lisa Suzanne

4.0

After reading every Vegas Aces series, I naively thought I knew where this new season was going with Rivalry. I was so wrong because there is a new coach in town, and changes are taking place within the organization. The old guard has retired, and head coach Lincoln Nash is ready to leave his mark.

He comes from an NFL family: his dad and uncle used to play, and his three younger brothers all have football careers. He is set on keeping the winning strike of the team, who won the Super Bowl last season. There is no time for his non-existent personal life until he crosses paths with Jolene Bailey, the new Aces correspondent.

She was his first love. He broke her heart. Their families hate each other. The past is a strong reminder of what is at stake. But professionally, their work lives will be intertwined. So far, it has modern Montagues and Capulets vibes, hopefully with a happy ending. But it's too soon to say what will happen because I, for once, have no clue!
