“What have we got to do with all this time but get it right?” 🥺💖

A young Cree woman from the prairies finds herself in a BC apartment having vivid dreams about crows …then she takes one with her out of the dream.

👀 I don’t want to spoil any revelations, but just know that this book is haunting, fresh, and mesmerizing. Unreal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is easily the best book I have read this year and it will be hard to top. I was STUNNED by the characters, the depth, and the chills down my spine. The kneading bread scene… god. To find tenderness like that in a book this eerie…… you need to experience it.

On the horror note: Witches Broom disease is such a delightfully scary detail for a book full of forests. ALSO NOT SURPRISED THAT EDEN ROBINSON WAS THE ONE WHO URGED THIS BOOK ABOUT HEALING TO BE DARKER. *chef’s kiss* 👌🥰
