An amazing amazing story.
I love YA so much. And this book just made me wish I had books like this available for me to read when I was 18. It’s very melancholic but I’m just the way I know I felt sometimes when I was this age. The brothers are going through so much and facing so much at home and outside of it.

It’s beautiful seeing their relationship with their grandfather and even how their relationship with their mother evolves from just a need to protect her.

Crying as I write this and reflect on this book because man it’s good and the emotion of it just felt so so deep 😭😭

I loved it.
Beautiful use of language and the poetic flow of it made it such a great read. I loved it alll.

Gorgeous.
One of my favourites for 2023. For sure.
