Forces of Nature by Brian Cox, Andrew Cohen

5.0

If I’m completely honest with myself, I am not an enjoyer of science.

However, Brian Cox could make a pencil interesting. As someone who’s grown up listening to his TV shows, his voice fully comes through in his writing, and it makes all the scientific equations and speculation bearable. Cox is a man I’ll respect all my life, and this book cements this.

I have barely any understanding on the science that made our planet. However, this book opened my eyes to an extreme amount, and has become a catalyst to me buying other scientific books. I now find myself with a want to understand the world around me, where before I was complacent to leave it up to the ‘big guys’.

It seems, I now believe I can become one of those ‘big guys’, all thanks to this book.
