The Old Man and the Sea
by Ernest Hemingway
Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea is a well-executed novella about an aging man's battles with himself and the elements. While I can appreciate the novella's place in literature, its subject, characters, and messaging did not evoke strong reactions from me like other classical literature has. I'd like to read this short piece in another few years and see how my reactions have changed.
