The Conception of Terror: Tales Inspired by M.R. James, Volume 1 by M.R. James

4.0

This was a different type of read than ones I usually pick up. Considering that it’s pumpkin head time I held off on really diving in to this one. I liked the short story format and the stories were all easy to follow despite the intentional background noise.

The plots were pretty good and very well paced. I guessed an ending or two ahead of time. I may have missed it but I don’t recall real ghost stories which is fine by me.
