I read this for english class freshman year and i read it in one day. When my teacher asked who did their homework i like always raised my hand. She then asked who went farther then i asked i raised my hand again and said i finished it. Then one boy in my class looked at me and asked "Does it die in the end?" My teacher and i looked right at him and said together there wouldn't be a book if he died.

This was an amazing book that took a lot of guts to write. I love this book because now teenagers like me can read something like this and realize that my life is nothing compared to this no matter how bad it gets. I hope that no one ever has to stare death in the face the way survivors had too during this time.
