Did not finish book. Stopped at 41%.

Shortly in, I realized this was a reimagining of the movie You’ve Got Mail (which is a reimagining if the movie Shop Around the Corner). The world building was pretty weak, but I kept at it until the scene where the two pen pals decided to meet. It was BEAT FOR BEAT and nearly WORD FOR WORD from You’ve Got Mail. I’m all for reworking well-loved plots but this is lazy writing, and it upset me too much to finish the book.
