I love Z and Jessica, but you can definitely tell this is a transition novella.
Also, Z... you're all about communication. Don't hide things from your wife, silly man. I wanted to take him by the shoulders and shake him. COMMUNICATE.
Enjoyed this nonetheless, though. :D Always love a Shadowlands novel.
I also really appreciated that this *was* a transition novella, because the characters who are going to be in the new series seem really interesting. I look forward to reading the Sons of the Survivalist series in the near future.
