Nice Racism: How Progressive White People Perpetuate Racial Harm by Robin DiAngelo

3.0

Follow up to DiAngelo's brilliant White Fragility. Good, but doesn't add much to the first. It also indulges in a lot of pique towards people in her training sessions who do things that annoy her, which rather detracted from the air of self deprecating wisdom.

I appreciated that she respectfully acknowledged a whole lot of Black writers. I really appreciated the link to Tess Martin's article on what not to do as a white person when you've been called out. Great list of things I have done too many of.

All in all, a good refresher on some of the ways we white progressive perpetuate racism and racist systems. But White Fragility is a better book.
