I sped through this book. It was infinitely readable but I felt so unsatisfied by it.
I will say it kept me guessing. The red herrings were very effective.
But I thought a lot of bits were contrived. Like there wasn't good support for why anyone thought anything in particular, and the big end twist didn't feel well foreshadowed.
It was also reviewed as dark academia and like I guess but only very tangentially? It could have been a lot more suspenseful and dove more into the setting.

Graphic: Stalking, Death, and Murder
Moderate: Infidelity and Pedophilia
Minor: Drug use
