Blanky by Kealan Patrick Burke

It reads fast, when maybe it shouldn’t. More than a deep exploration of grief, it felt to me like a cardboard pantomime of it, with some very uneven turns, and constant exposition that scorches any nuance or deep emotional revelation that could have been gained from it.

Unfortunately, this might be my first and last KPB title. I don’t feel that this clanky style is for me.
