Earth X by Alex Ross, Jim Krueger

4.0

This is the most complex plot in a comic I have ever read. I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't recommend this for those who aren't passing familiar with the marvel world. It is much more interesting if you know the relationships between the characters. There are a bunch of new characters too.

Idea: The entire world has become mutants, but why aren't there any new babies? Is an android man or machine? Should the world be consumed or should it explode and contribute to the destabilization of the universe? Is there a way to avoid both?

The series continues in Universe X (1 and 2) and Paradise X (1 and 2). Marvel has finally reprinted these so they should be available. A wonderful alternate future for any fan of the Marvel universe and those who like pretty pictures and complex plots.
