Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts I and II
by Jack Thorne
It's Harry Potter and I love all things Harry Potter. However, it didn't feel like J. K. Rowling's style and that may very well be because it's a play and co-written with John Tiffany and Jack Thorne. There were lines that were just too cheesy for a Harry Potter book. Harry, Ron, and Hermione didn't feel like Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I didn't cry, laugh, or feel the emotional roller coaster I felt when I read the other Harry Potter books and that was disappointing to me. Perhaps the play is more enjoyable when watching it on stage and not reading it but I am sad that this story wasn't all that I had hoped it would be.
