Just . . . not very good. The main character charmlessly quips his way through the whole story. The "clues" that are used to solve the crime literally come down to things like what makes his dog sneeze or, even worse, a borderline-homophobic observation that "straight guys talk like this, but gay guys talk like that". The conclusion is strange and doesn't feel earned.
