The first half was pretty boring - I found it kinda bland with only two main characters the whole time. But after that the book was pretty diddly darn good.
However, if it wasn't for the really great and well written main character Penryn, I probably would not have stuck with this book to the end. Her view and personality makes the story interesting.
while the plot was rather predictable, I have high hopes for the second book, with lots of things left unsolved.
