Your Deepest Fear by David Jackson

2.0

I feel like the author got sick of writing the book or something because it ends, abruptly and in order to make sense and close up the loose ends, the author has one character phone another character and explain what happened.

My absolute biggest pet peeve in a thriller. If you need the bad guy to explain the plot points to the reader, you’ve failed miserably in your story telling. And this was a massive fail, since the plot points here were so convoluted that even the pivotal characters where left scratching their heads and wondering WTF just happened.

Honestly, you could skip the entire book and just read the section at the end with Cody and Waldo and you’d miss nothing.
